Find the right spy camera for your specific security needs
Monitor your home while you're away. WiFi cameras with smartphone apps let you check in anytime from anywhere across the UK. Motion detection sends instant alerts. Cameras designed as clocks, chargers, and everyday objects provide round-the-clock protection for terraced houses, semi-detached homes, flats, and new-build estates without anyone knowing.
Ensure your children or elderly family members are receiving proper care in your home. Hidden cameras let you check in remotely without the camera being noticed or tampered with. Infrared night vision keeps recording clearly even in low light. Under UK employment law and ICO guidance, informing domestic staff of recording is strongly recommended. Ideal for families using Ofsted-registered childminders or private nannies.
Prevent workplace theft and misconduct in UK offices, shops, and warehouses. Pinhole cameras are small enough to stay unnoticed whilst recording in 1080P or even 4K quality. Motion-activated recording saves storage space by only capturing relevant activity. Compliant with UK employment regulations when staff are informed of monitoring in the workplace.
Body cameras, spy glasses, and pen cameras let you record important situations hands-free across the UK. Ideal for meetings, outdoor activities, cycling incidents, or personal safety. One-touch recording makes operation simple under any circumstances. Footage is commonly accepted for UK police reports and insurance claims.

“The clock camera is absolutely brilliant — video quality is crystal clear and no one can tell it's a camera. Setup was dead easy with the app. Highly recommend for home security. Sorted.”
“Bought the USB charger camera for my office. Night vision works perfectly and the motion detection alerts are spot on. Cracking value for the price. Delivery was quick too.”
“Fast shipping, discreet packaging, and the camera works exactly as described. The WiFi range is excellent even through the thick walls of my Victorian terrace. Already ordered a second one for the garage.”

The XXSCAM UK catalogue is built around real surveillance needs, not a generic product dump. There are seven categories of hidden camera in the current range.
Mini spy cameras are the most compact covert cameras on the site. Resolution runs from 1080P Full HD to 4K Ultra HD. Battery life varies from two hours on the smallest models to twelve hours on the higher-capacity units. Check our product listings for current UK pricing.

Check our product listings for current UK pricing.
Spy glasses cameras are recording eyewear with a built-in wide-angle lens that captures 1080P or 4K footage hands-free. Compatible with prescription inserts. Check our product listings for current UK pricing.
Spy pen cameras are working ballpoint or rollerball pens with a hidden camera. Clip-on design fits any shirt pocket or jacket. Check our product listings for current UK pricing.
Body cameras are wearable hidden cameras that attach to clothing, lanyards, or jacket lapels. Night vision models capture usable footage in environments as dark as a badly-lit car park. Four-hour-plus battery life on most models. Check our product listings for current UK pricing.
Nanny cam cameras are covert hidden cameras designed specifically for child and elderly care monitoring. WiFi models send motion alerts directly to your phone. Disguised as household objects — smoke detectors, air purifiers, small speakers. Check our product listings for current UK pricing.
Hidden camera detectors are RF signal finders and optical lens detectors that identify surveillance cameras in hotel rooms, Airbnbs, and holiday rentals. Check our product listings for current UK pricing.

Recording on your own private property for legitimate security purposes is generally lawful in the UK. The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA), Data Protection Act 2018 (UK GDPR), and Human Rights Act 1998 (Article 8) collectively govern covert surveillance. Recording in spaces where individuals have a reasonable expectation of privacy — bathrooms, bedrooms, changing rooms — without consent is unlawful. The ICO publishes free guidance on domestic and workplace camera use at ico.org.uk. All XXSCAM cameras are sold for lawful use only.
A standard CCTV camera is visible and acts as a deterrent. A spy camera or hidden camera is concealed within an ordinary object — a clock, a charger, a pen — so it is not visible to anyone in the space. Both record video; covert cameras are used where the surveillance must go undetected. Overt CCTV is standard for commercial premises under UK regulations; hidden cameras are used for domestic monitoring, undercover evidence gathering, and situations where the subject knowing they are recorded would change their behaviour.
ICO guidance strongly recommends informing domestic staff — including nannies, cleaners, and carers — that recording takes place, even if the specific device or location is not disclosed. Covert monitoring of employees without any notification is only lawful in limited, specific circumstances under UK employment and data protection law. Informing domestic staff in writing that cameras are in use in the property is the safest legal approach and protects the employer in any subsequent employment dispute.
Footage from a hidden camera or covert surveillance camera — particularly 1080P or 4K footage with accurate timestamps — is routinely submitted to UK police forces and insurers. Many UK police forces accept dashcam and body camera footage through online reporting portals. For formal legal proceedings, footage must meet admissibility requirements; a solicitor should be consulted for specific legal advice. The quality and metadata of footage from properly specified cameras generally meets the threshold for civil and insurance claims.
Yes. All spy charger cameras sold by XXSCAM are supplied with the correct UK 3-pin plug and are rated for the standard British 230V 50Hz mains supply. They are ready to use in any UK socket without any adaptor. They function as working chargers simultaneously with recording, making them completely inconspicuous.
Night vision detection range varies by model. Entry-level cameras offer 3-5 metres of usable IR night vision. Mid-range cameras operate at 5-8 metres. Premium models extend to 12-15 metres. All night vision is based on infrared LEDs, which emit no visible light and are entirely invisible to the naked eye. For most UK domestic rooms, 5-8 metres is more than sufficient. The camera specification page states the night vision range for each individual model.

WiFi spy cameras connect to your home broadband router and stream live footage to a smartphone app, allowing remote monitoring from anywhere in the UK or abroad. Non-WiFi cameras record locally to a microSD card — no internet connection required, making them suitable for outbuildings, garages, and holiday properties without broadband. Non-WiFi cameras are also harder to detect using RF scanner tools that identify wireless signals. Some models support both WiFi and local recording modes simultaneously.
Yes. All prices displayed on XXSCAM are shown in GBP inclusive of VAT at the standard UK rate of 20%. There are no additional taxes, import duties, or unexpected charges added at checkout. The price shown on the product page is the total price paid. This applies to every spy camera UK buyers order through the site. Check our product listings for current VAT-inclusive pricing.
A 32GB card stores 8-12 hours of 1080P continuous footage. A 64GB card stores 16-24 hours. A 128GB card covers 32-48 hours. For 4K recording, consumption is 1-2 GB per hour; a 128GB card is the recommended minimum. All XXSCAM cameras support loop recording, which overwrites the oldest files when the card is full to ensure uninterrupted continuous recording. Recommended cards are Class 10 or UHS-I rated for reliable write speeds.
Recording in common areas of your own property between tenancy periods — before a new tenant moves in, or during contractor visits in a vacant property — is generally lawful. Recording should not extend to bathrooms or bedrooms. Once a tenancy commences, tenants have a right to quiet enjoyment under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, and installing covert cameras inside a let property without the tenant's knowledge during an active tenancy is unlawful. External cameras covering entry points remain lawful throughout, subject to not recording neighbouring properties.
A hidden camera detector — available in the XXSCAM Detectors category — is the most reliable method. RF detectors identify cameras transmitting wirelessly via WiFi, 4G, or Bluetooth. Optical lens finders detect the reflective surface of a camera lens using a light source, catching cameras that do not transmit wirelessly. Manually check smoke detectors, digital clocks, USB charger ports, picture frames, and any object that faces a bed, bathroom door, or changing area. If you find a hidden camera in a UK rental property, photograph its position and report it to the police immediately under the Voyeurism (Offences) Act 2019.
The Voyeurism (Offences) Act 2019 criminalises the recording of individuals in private situations — changing rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms — without consent and with intent to obtain sexual gratification. The Act does not prohibit legitimate security recording in appropriate locations. XXSCAM cameras are designed and sold for lawful security and monitoring purposes. Recording in spaces where individuals have a reasonable expectation of privacy remains unlawful regardless of the device used, and XXSCAM's terms of sale explicitly require lawful use.
Yes. Parcel delivery monitoring is one of the most common domestic uses of hidden cameras in the UK. A motion-activated home security camera positioned at the front door area or hallway records activity during delivery windows. WiFi cameras send a push notification to your smartphone when motion is detected, so you can check the live feed immediately. This is entirely lawful on your own property. Footage of a delivery dispute or misdelivery is routinely accepted by Royal Mail and DPD's own claims processes.
XXSCAM offers a 30-day manufacturing defect replacement policy from the date of delivery. If a camera develops a fault attributable to manufacturing — not physical damage or misuse — during this period, contact the support team to arrange a free replacement dispatch. The process does not require the original item to be returned before the replacement is sent in most cases. After 30 days, cameras are covered by standard consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which provides remedies for faulty goods for up to six years from purchase.
